To celebrate the UK release of Broker and in collaboration with Picturehouse Entertainment, we have a special competition for *ESEA artists. We want to commission a bespoke piece of art that celebrates the film on the subject of family, the ones we make along our journey of life. Here is the trailer to share more about the film.
The art will be on a large canvas that has been repurposed & recycled for our commission. It is 9ft by 7ft big & made of heavy duty cardboard & will be painted white to give the winning artist a blank canvas to start from.
We are looking for striking & bold ideas that make the most of this large format but also speak to the themes of the film, & be something visually exciting that urges our audiences to take a photo & share with their friends & family.
The art will need to be created on-site at Picturehouse Central in Leicester Square, London, & will occupy prime position greeting cinema-goers at the top of the stairs during the release of Broker. You must be able to produce the art on the 20 February and it must be completed within one day, ready to welcome our MilkTea community at our preview screening on the evening of the 21 February. In addition to the art itself, we also ask artists to record a short time lapse video of them producing the art that we can share to our community across our social channels.
We can offer an artist fee of £300 (inclusive of travel + subsistence expenses) & a materials budget of £100 for this. We will also offer you a pair of tickets to be our guest at our community preview of Broker on 21 February.
If you want to enter, please complete this form no later than 09:00am on 16 February.
