On 7 December, we co-hosted a special screening of Nǎi Nai & Wài Pó, the award-winning short documentary by Sean Wang (director) & Malcolm Pullinger (producer). The film has been picked up for distribution by Disney/Hulu.
Our screening was followed by an in-person Q&A hosted by Academy winning producer, Joanna Natasegara with Sean Wang & Malcolm Pullinger.
Nǎi Nai & Wài Pó features dialogue in both Mandarin & English, & is a multigenerational story that celebrates Sean Wang’s two grandmothers. The film premiered at the SXSW film festival, where it won the Grand Jury Prize + Audience Award - we are cheering it all the way to the 2024 Academy Awards!
